Duties Include: Learning about, and documenting, the history of the Moira itself (which seems to be fairly unknown at this point) for posterity, as well as in hopes of obtaining information useful to the ship's continued well-being or the repair of the Ingress.
Additionally the Historian would be obligated to look into the histories of the planets the ships visits, when possible. Both for posterity's sake, and also in the hopes of averting another incident like the one on Del Pascia.
